New Delhi : Only 27,071 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India during last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded so far in the country to 98,84,100 cases at 8 am on December 14, 2020. During the same period, 30,695 Covid-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India taking the tally to 93,88,159 on December 14, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases ( 3,52,586) by a stupendous margin of 90,35,573. The number of active cases was 3.57% of the total Covid-19 cases recorded so far in the country on December 14, 2020, , a drop of 3,960 cases during last 24 hours.
Of the 98,84,100 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in the country, altogether 93,88,159 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 94.98%. India has tested 15,45,66,990 samples till date including 8,55,157 samples on December 13, 2020.
The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,43,355 in India on December 14, 2020, with only 336 new deaths being recorded in the country during last 24 hours including 70 from Maharashtra, 47 from West Bengal, 33 from Delhi, 20 from Punjab, 16 from Uttar Pradesh, 14 from Rajasthan, 13 from Madhya Pradesh, 13 from Chhattisgarh, 12 from Tamilnadu, 11 from Gujarat, 8 from Himachal Pradesh, 7 from Haryana, 5 from Odisha, 5 from Karnataka, 5 from Andhra Pradesh, 4 from Bihar, and 4 from Jharkhand. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.45% in the country on December 14, 2020. India had recorded 391 new deaths onDecember 13, 2020.
