New Delhi : A total of 39,109 Covid-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 91,39,901 at 8 am on December 7, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases ( 3,96,729) by a massive margin of 87,43,172. The country, on the other hand, also recorded 32,981 new Covid-19 cases taking the tall of cases recorded so far to 96,77,203 cases on December 7, 2020. The number of active cases was 4.1% of the total cases on December 7, 2020, a drop of 6,519 cases during last 24 hours.
Of the 96,77,203 Covid-19 cases recorded in the country, altogether 91,39,901 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 94.45%. India has tested 14,77,87,656 samples so far including 8,01,081 samples on December 6, 2020.
The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,40,573 in India on December 7, 2020, with 391 new deaths being recorded in the country during last 24 hours including 69 from Delhi, 46 from West Bengal, 40 from Maharashtra, 28 from Kerala, 24 from Haryana, 24 from Uttar Pradesh, 20 from Rajasthan, 17 from Gujarat, 16 from Tamilnadu, 12 from Chhattisgarh, 11 from Himachal Pradesh, 11 from Madhya Pradesh, 10 from Karnataka, 10 from Punjab, 9 from Andhra Pradesh, 7 from Manipur, 7 from Jharkhand, 6 from Odisha, and 3 from Bihar, The Case Fatality Rate was 1.45% in the country on December 7, 2020. India had recorded 391 new deaths on December 6, 2020.
