New Delhi : A total of 41,985 Covid-19 patients were declared/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 88,89,585 at 8 am on December 1, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases ( 4,35,603) by a stupendous margin of 84,53,982. The country, on the other hand, also recorded 31,118 new Covid-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally to 94,62,809 cases on December 1, 2020.
Of the 94,62,809 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in the country, altogether 88,89,585 patients have been declared cured till date with the recovery rate being 93.94% on December 1, 2020. The number of active cases in the country was 4.60% of the total cases recorded so far on December 1, 2020, a drop of 11,349 cases. India has tested 14,13,49,298 samples so far samples so far including 9,69,322 samples on samples on November 30, 2020.
The Covid-19 toll jumped to 1,37,621 on December 1, 2020, with 482 new deaths being recorded in the country during last 24 hours including 108 from Delhi, 80 from Maharashtra, 48 from West Bengal, 27 from Haryana, 27 from Punjab, 21 from Chhattisgarh, 21 from Kerala, 20 from Gujarat, 20 from Rajasthan, 19 from Uttar Pradesh, 13 from Karnataka, 10 from Himachal Pradesh, 10 from Madhya Pradesh, 9 from Tamilnadu, 9 from Uttarakhand, 9 from J&K, 8 from Manipur, 5 from Odisha, 5 from Bihar, 4 from Andhra Pradesh, and 1 from Jharkhand. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.45% in the country on December 1, 2020. India had recorded 443 new deaths on November 30, 2020.
