New Delhi : Altogether 41,452 Covid-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 87,59,969 at 8 am on November 28, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (4,54,940) by a massive margin of 83,05,029. On the other hand, 41,322 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in the country during last 24 hours taking the tally to 93,51,109 cases recorded till date. The recoveries outpaced the new Covid-19 cases recorded during last 24 hours by just 130 cases.
Of the 93,51,109 Covid-19 cases recorded in the country till date, a total of 87,59,969 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 93.68%. The number of the active cases was 4.87% of the total Covid cases recorded so far in the country, a drop of 615 cases. India has tested 13,82,20,354 samples so far including 11,57,605 samples on November 27, 2020.
The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,36,200 in India on November 28, 2020, with 485 new deaths being recorded in the country during last 24 hours including 98 from Delhi, 85 from Maharashtra, 46 from West Bengal, 29 from Haryana, 27 from Punjab, 23 from Kerala, 23 from Uttar Pradesh, 18 from Rajasthan, 16 from Gujarat, 15 from Madhya Pradesh, 14 from Odisha, 13 from Himachal Pradesh, 12 from Chhattisgarh, 12 from Karnataka, 12 from Tamilnadu, 8 from J&K, 6 from Andhra Pradesh, 5 from Uttarakhand, 5 from Bihar, and 1 from Jharkhand. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.46% in the country on November 28, 2020. India had recorded 492 new deaths on November 27, 2020.
