Patna : COVID-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar rose to 2,28,680 on November 18, 2020, afternoon, as 734 more persons including 285 from Patna, 39 from Purnia, 34 from Vaishali, 33 from Muzaffarpur, and 23 from Nalanda, tested positive to the disease on November 17, 2020.
According to State Health Department figure, 20 persons each from Begusarai and Madhubani, 18 each from West Champaran, Saharsa, Madhepura, and Gopalganj, 15 from Supaul, 14 each from Aurangabad and Darbhanga, 12 each from Gaya and Saran, 11 each from Banka and Jehanabad, and 10 each from Araria and Samastipur, also tested positive to Covid-19 on November 17, 2020.
Of the 2,28,680 COVID-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar, altogether 2,21,811 patients have been declared cured including 601 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 97%. Bihar has tested 1,32,32,081 samples till date including 1,28,929 samples on November 18, 2020. The number of active cases in the state was 5,667 on November 18, 2020.
COVID-19 toll in Bihar jumped to 1,201 on November 18, 2020, with 7 new deaths being recorded across the state during last 24 hours including 3 from Patna and one each from Munger, Vaishali, Jehanabad, and Supaul. The toll climbed to 305 in Patna on November 18, 2020.
