New Delhi : Altogether 44,739 COVID-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 83,35,109 in the country at 8 am on November 18, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (4,46,805) by a stupendous margin of 78,88,304.

The country, however, also recorded 38,617 new COVID-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded so far in the country to 89,12,907 on November 18, 2020. The number of active cases was 5.01% of the total cases recorded so far, a drop of 6,595 cases on November 18.

Of the 89,12,907 COVID-19 recorded till date in the country, a total of 83,35,109 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 93.52%. The country has tested 12,74,80,186 samples so far including 9,37,279 samples on November 17, 2020.

The COVID-19 toll jumped to 1,30,993 in the country on November 18, 2020, with 474 new deaths being recorded during last 24 hours including 99 from Delhi and 68 from Maharashtra.The Case Fatality Rate was 1.47% in the country on November 18, 2020. India had recorded 449 new deaths on November 17, 2020.
