Patna : COVID-19 cases recorded till in Bihar rose to 2,27,946 on November 17, 2020, afternoon, as 513 more persons including 186 from Patna, 27 from Muzaffarpur, 19 from Gaya, 18 from Munger, 16 each from Katihar and Kishanganj, tested positive to the disease on November 16, 2020.

According to State Health Department figure, 14 persons from Nalanda, 13 from Banka, 12 from West Champaran, 11 each from Purnia, Bhaglpur, Nawada, and Aurangabad, 10 each from Darbhanga, Jamui and Jehanabad, 9 each from Vaishali, Saran and Rohtas, 8 each from Supaul, East Champaran and Araria, 7 each from Samastipur, Madhepura and Gopalganj, and 5 each from Madhubani and Bhojpur, also tested positive to COVID-19 on November 17, 2020.

Of the 2,27,946 COVID-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar, altogether 2,21,210 patients have been declared cured including 749 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 97.04%. The number of active cases in Bihar 5,541 on November 17, 2020. The state has tested 1,31,03,152 samples so far including 1,25,651 samples on November 16.

The COVID-19 toll jumped to 1,194 in Bihar on November 17 with 5 new deaths being recorded in the state during last 24 hours including 3 from Patna and one each from Banka and Gaya. The toll jumped to 302 in Patna on November 17, 2020.
