Patna : The COVID-19 cases detected so far in Bihar rose to 2,14,946 on October 29, 2020, afternoon, as 783 more persons including 265 from Patna, 59 from Purnia, 35 from Araria, 31 from Nalanda, and 30 from Muzaffarpur, tested positive to it on October 28, 2020.

According to State Health Department figure, 27 persons from Jehanabad, 22 from Begusarai, 21 from Bhagalpur, 21 from Sitamarhi, 19 from Saran, 17 from Kishanganj, 17 from Madhubani,  17 from Munger, 16 from Madhepura, 16 from Saharsa, 16 from Gaya, and 15 from Vaishali, also tested positive to COVID-19 on October 28, 2020.

Of the 2,14,946 COVID-19  ases recorded so far in Bihar, a total of 2,05,385 patients have been declared cured including 1,068 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 99.55%. Bihar has tested 1,06,30,170 samples so far including 1,31,357 samples on October 28, 2020. The number of active cases in the state was 8,484 on Ovtober 29, 2020.

The COVID-19 toll jumped to 1,076 in the state on October 29, 2020, with 7 new deaths being reported during last 24 hours including 2 from Patna, and one each from Samastipur, Darbhanga, Jehanabad, Sheikhpura, and Siwan. The toll climbed to 263 in Patna on October 29, 2020.
