Patna : JD (U) National President and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on October 27, 2020, campaigned on his home turf in Nalanda District addressing a record 7 impressive elections rallies promising to install solar-powered street lights in all villages and providing irrigation facilities to all agricultural fields in the state if elected to power again. Nitish also assured the voters that incomplete development works s will be completed if the NDA is voted to power again.
Nitish said, “As part of out commitment to develop infrastructure, we will construct flyovers and elevated roads. Work on widening of existing roads is going on. We have built roads in every village of the state. If we get a chance again, we will connect these roads to highways. After forming the government, we will once again reach out to the people and address their developmental needs.” He  reiterated the commitment of his party to continue the fight against crime, corruption, and communalism.
The JD(U) President said, “Our government has had no tolerance for crime, corruption, and communalism in the state. We
have worked for upliftment of every section of the society. Our motto has been development with social justice.”
Addressing a big gathering in Nalanda, Nitish highlighted the work that was being done to re-establish the ancient Nalanda University. He said, “Even though the job was under works, studies had commenced in the university.”
At Rajgir, Nitish,said, “We have worked for the development of Rajgir. Sanik school at Rajgir is perhaps the biggest residential Sanik school in the country.”
At Harnot, the Chief Minister said, “Earlier, there were no roads in this area. People laughed at us when we spoke of building roads in this area. But, when we got opportunity, we constructed roads in this area.”
Speaking about schemes for the benefit of youth, Nitish said, “ We started student credit card scheme for children who could not pursue education after class X. Under the Kaushal youth program, we have imparted computer related training to over 10 lakh youth in the state.”
