Patna : The COVID-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar rose to 2,11,443 on October 24, 2020, afternoon, as 1,054 more persons including 239 from Patna, 149 from Gopalganj, 54 from Saharsa, and 48 from Muzaffarpur, tested positive to it on October 23, 2020.

According to State Health Department figure, 42 persons each from Gaya and Bhagalpur, 37 from East Champaran, 34 from Nalanda, 33  from Madhepura, 31 from Araria, 26 each from Purnia and Saran, 22 from Kishanganj, 21 from Aurangabad, 20 each from Madhubani and Bhojpur, and 18 from Supaul, also tested positive to COVID-19 on October 23, 2020.

Of the  2,11,443 COVID-19 cases reported till date in Bihar, altogether 1,99,521 patients have been declared cured including 1,084 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 94.36%. The State has tested 99,60,104 samples so far including 1,41,905 samples on October 23, 2020.

The COVID-19 toll increased to 1,042 in Bihar on October 24,220, with 8 new deaths being reported during last 24 hours including 3 from East Champaran and one each from Begusarai, Gopalganj, Nalanda, Munger, and Muzaffarpur.
