Ara : Police arrested two miscreants with two countrymade pistols, live cartridges, Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), and Ganja from Narayanpur under the same police station in Bhojpur District on October 9, 2020, late evening.
A named FIR was lodged by Narayanpur police station against them and later police sent them to jail after interrogation. The arrested miscreants were identified as Babloo Singh of Bhedia village under Ara Muffassil police station and Jitan Singh of Narayanpur village under the same police station.
Bhojpur SP Har Kishore Rai said that raids were on against liquor smugglers and drug peddlers in entire Bhojpur district in view of ensuing Bihar Assembly Elections. He said that police along with ITBP personnel conducted raids at Narayanpur village on October 9, 2020, late evening on and arrested Babloo Singh and Jitan Singh from there along with two country made pistols, 13 live cartridges, 8 bottles of IMFL and 10 kg of Ganja.
In another incident, Government Railway Police (GRP), Ara, arrested two liquor smugglers Shankar Kumar of Nalanda and Vasudeo Prasad of Gadhani Gola in Bhojpur with 55 bottles of IMFL from Secunderabad Superfast Train at Ara Railway Station on October 10, 2020.
