Patna : The number of COVID-19 rose to 1,86,690 in Bihar on October 3, 2020, as 983 persons including 207 from Patna, 51 from Purnia, 38 from Supaul, 35 each from Bhagalpur and Aurangabad, 34 from Madhepura, 33 each from Muzaffarpur and West Champaran, 32 from Madhubani, 31 from East Champaran, and 30 from Gopalganj, tested positive to it on October 2, 2020.

According to State Health Department figure, 27 persons from Rohtas, 26 from Buxar, 25 from Katihar, 24 from Saharsa, 22 rom Gaya, 21 from Jehanabad, 20 each from Nalanda and Araria, also tested positive to COVID-19 on October 2, 2020.

Of theĀ  1,86,690 COVID cases reported in Bihar till date, altogether 1,73,795 patients have been declared cured including 1,431 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 93.09%. The state has tested 75,93,645 samples so far including 86,996 samples on October 2, 2020. The number of active cases in Bihar was 11,982 on October 3, 2020.

The COVID-19 toll increased to 912 in Bihar on October 3 with two new deaths being reported in the state during last 24 hours including one each from Sheikhpura and Jehanabad.
