Patna : COVID-19 cases in Bihar rose to 1,81,471 on September 29, 2020, as 1,439 persons including 195 from Patna, 99 from Purnia, 68 from Supaul, 65 from Saharsa, 58 from East Champaran, 55 from Araria, 51 from Bhagalpur, tested positive to it on September 28, 2020.

According to State Health Department figure, 47 persons each from Begusarai and Muzaffarpur, 45 from Jamui, 42 from Madhubani, 39 from Gaya, 38 from Banka, 37 each from Saran, Sheikhpura, and Nalanda, 35 from Gaya, 34 from Madhepura, 34 from Munger, 33 from Katihar, and 31 each from West Champaran and Kishanganj,also tested positive to COVID-19 on September 28, 2020.

Of the 1,81,471 COVID-19 cases reported in Bihar till date, a total of 1,67,890 patients have been declared cured including 1,702 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 92.52%. The State has tested 71,34,767 samples till date including 1,44,535 samples on September 28, 2020.

The COVID-19 toll climbed to 894 in the state on September 29, 2020, with two new deaths being reported during last 24 hours including one each from Patna and saran. The toll increased to 208 in Patna on September 29.
