Patna : None of the top three Indian tennis players : Sumit Nagal, Prajnesh Gunneswaran, and Ramkumar Ramnathan, could qualify for the main draw of French Open 2020. All of them lost in the qualifying round.
Sumit Nagal, India, who had recently reached 2nd round at US Open, lost to Dustin Brown, Germany, 6-7, 5-7 in the first round of qualifiers on September 21, 2020. Ramkumar Ramnathan, India,also lost to Tristan Lamasine, France, 5-7, 2-6 in the first round of qualifier on September 21, 2020.
Prajnesh Gunneswaran, India, defeated Cel Ilkel, Turkey, 6-3, 6-1 in the first round of qualifiers on September 21, 2020, but lost to Aleksandar Vukic, Australia, 4-6, 6-7 in second round on September 23, 2020.
