Patna : Bihar Governor cum Chancellow of State Universities Fagu Chauhan on September 19, 2020, appointed Prof Girish Kumar Chaudhary, the Pro- VC of Patliputra University (PPU), Patna, as the new Vice-Chancellor of Patna University (PU).
Prof Nilima Gupta, the VC of Chhatrapati Sahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur, UP, has been appointed VC, Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU), Bhagalpur.
Prof Surendra Pratap Singh, former VC, Lucknow University, UP, has been appointed new VC of Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU), Darbhanga, while Prof Ram Kishore Prasad Raman has been appointed VC, Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University (BNMU), Madhepura. Raman is Dean Faculty, Social Sciences, BNMU.
Prof Farooq Ali, former Pro-VC, BNMU, Madhepura, has been appointed VC, Jai Prakash University, Chhapra, while Prof Shashinath Jha has been appointed VC, Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University (KSDSU), Darbhanga. Prof Jha is a retired professor of KSDSU.
The Governor has made these appointments on the basis of recommendations of the Search Committee and after effective consultation with the State Government.
