Buxar : Police seized 21 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and arrested a liquor smuggler from Dhansoi Bazaar under Dhansoi police station in Buxar district on August 21, 2020.
A named FIR has been lodged with Dhansoi police station under Prohibition & Excise Act in this connection and police sent the arrested liquor smuggler to jail after interrogation. The arrested smuggler was identified as Mantu Kumar, son of Jairam Yadav of Samhauta Pokhar village in Kaimur district.
SHO, Dhansoi police station, Roushan Kumar, said that he got information that IMFL was being smuggled at Dhansoi Bazaar for the last several months. He at once formed a police team and conducted raids there. Seeing police, the liquor smuggler tried to escape but police chased and arrested him and seized 21 bottles of IMFL from his possession.
