Patna : COVID-19 cases climbed to 82,741 in Bihar on August 10, 2020, afternoon, with 3,021 more persons including 402 from Patna, 171 from Begusarai, 169 from Buxar, 149 from Vaishali, 141 from East Champaran, 116 from Samastipur, 114 from Muzaffarpur, 113 from Saran, and 108 from West Champaran testing positive to it on August 9, 2020.
According to Staye Health Department sources, 96 persons from Saharsa, 92 persons from Gaya, 93 from Nalanda, 87 from Rohtas, 83 from Bhojpur, 74 from Bhagalpur, 70 from Sheikhpura, 66 from Khagaria, 64 from Gopalganj, 61 from Madhubani also tested positive to COVID on August 9, 2020.
A total of 54,139 COVID patients have been declared cured in the state till date with the recovery rate being being 65.43 %. Altogether 2,824 patients were declared cured during last 24 hours while 75,346 COVID samples were tested during the same period.
The COVID death toll in Bihar jumped to 450 with 21 new deaths being reported from different parts of the state during last 24 hours including 7 in Patna, two from Munger, two from Siwan, one each from Bhagalpur, Gaya, Araria, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Nawada, and West Champaran.
