Ara : Police, on a tip off, conducted raids at Keshopur village under Barhara police station in Bhojpur District in South Bihar and arrested three liquor smugglers along with 168 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) on July 1, 2020, late evening. Police also seized a Commander Jeep and a motorcycle.

The liquor smugglers were identified as Vijyendra Singh of Keshopur, Umesh Singh of Ekauna, and Shailesh Lal of Kuiya villages under Barhara police station. A named FIR has been lodged by Barhara police station under the Prohibition and Excise Act and the police sent the arrested smugglers to jail after interrogation.

SHO, Barhara police station, Awadhesh Kumar, said that he got information that Umesh Singh and Shailesh Lal had come to deliver a big consignment of IMFL to Vijyendra Singh at Keshopur and so he immediately conducted raids and seized the 168 bottles of IMFL and also arrested three liquor smugglers.
