Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases rose to 48,001 in Bihar on July 30, 2020, afternoon, with 2,082 more persons including 410 from Patna, 140 from East Champaran, 137 from Nalanda, 105 from Rohtas, 79 from Saran, 76 from Bhojpur, 72 from Begusarai, 96 from Bhagalpur, 87 from West Champaran, 67 from Gaya,  57 from Supaul, 71 from Vaishali, and 46 from Nawada testing positive to it. Of the new patients, 1,445 had tested postive on July 29 and 637 on July 28, 2020.

So far, 31,673 patients have been declared cured in Bihar with the recovery rate being 65.98%. A total of 1,169 patients were declared cured during last 24 hours in the state.

The COVID-19 death toll, on the other hand, has jumped to 285 in Bihar including 41 in Patna, 26 in Bhagalpur, 19 in Gaya, 16 in Rohtas, 15 in Nalanda, 12 in Munger, 11 in Bhojpur, 11 in East Champaran, 11 in Muzaffarpur, 10 in West Champaran, 10 in Samastipur, 10 in Begusarai, and 10 in Darbhanga.
