New Delhi : The number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients declared cured rose to 9,52,743 in India at 8 am on July 28, 2020, an increase of 35,176 during last 24 hours, exceeding the number of active cases in the country by 4,55,755. The number of active cases in the country stands at 4,96,988.
On the negative side, the COVID death toll in India increased to 33,425 with 654 new deaths being reported from different parts of the country including 228 from Maharashtra and 49 from Andhra Pradesh.
The Coronavirus death toll break-up in India is : Maharashtra ( 13,883), Delhi ( 3,853), Tamilnadu (3,571), Gujarat (2,348), Karnataka (1,953), Uttar Pradesh (1,456), West Bengal (1,411), Andhra Pradesh ( 1,090), Madhya Pradesh (820), Rajasthan (631), Telengana ( 480), Haryana (397), J&K (321), Punjab (318), Odisha (147), Jharkhand (89), Uttarakhand (66), Kerala (63), Chhattisgarh (44), Puducherry (43), Goa (36), Tripura (17), Himachal Pradesh (14), Chandigarh (14), Meghalaya (5), Nagaland (5), Ladakh (4), Arunachal Pradesh (3), Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu( 2), and Andaman & Nicobar( 1), and Sikkim (1).
As far COVID patients getting cured goes, in Maharashtra 2,21,944 patients have been cured till date followed by 1,62,249 in Tamilnadu, 1,16,372 in Delhi, 42,909 in Telengana, 42,833 in UP, 39,917 in West Bengal, 37,685 in Karnataka, and 25,046 in Haryana.
