Buxar : Police exhumed body of a sexagenarian and brought it over to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem on July 22, 2020. The deceased was identified as Shiv Dahni Ram, 60, a resident of Mathia locality though he lived at Sarimpur.
Buxar SP Upendra Nath Verma said that Shiv Dhani Ram was missing since July 20, 2020, late evening and the family members were searching for him. Meanwhile, someone informed that legs were seen jutting out of earth at cemetery. The family members rushed to the spot and recognised it and informed police. Police reached there and with the permission of the secretary of the cemetery, exhumed the body from the grave. Shiv Dhani had a makeshift eatery near Mathia Mor.
The SP said that Shiv Dhani Ram had sold out about one kattha of land at Mathia locality recently and he had dispute over the piece of land. He had set out from his house on July 20, 2020, to sort out the dispute but did not return home. The SP said that the body of Shiv Dhani Ram bore multiple injuries mark that showed that he had scuffle with the miscreants before being killed. After killing him, the miscreants buried him. Police also recovered his chappals from some distance of the grave.
