Bokaro (Jharkhand) : Thirty-five persons have tested positive to Coronavirus in last 72 hours in Bokaro District in Jharkhand forcing the administration to quarantine several zones of Bokaro and Chas City. There has been spurt in Coronavirus infection in the district. Six positive cases were detected on July 11, 2020, of which four persons had come from Bihar including Patna.
As per Deputy Commissioner (DC), Bokaro, Mukesh Kumar, all the positive cases have been admitted to Bokaro General Hospital (BGH). According to a press release issued by Bokaro PRD, 47 Covid-219 cases were admitted to the hospital of which 9 have recovered and were to go homes. Several localities of Bokaro including part of Cooperative Colony, Sector 4, Sector 9, and few areas of Chas have been closed for visitors.
The Coronavirus death toll stands at 23 in Jharkhand, which has reported 3,613 confirmed cases till date. A total of 2,243 COVID patients have recovered in Jharkhand.
