Ranchi (Jharkhand) : After getting 72 hours notice sent on July 4, 2020, by Ranchi SDO Lokesh Mishra asking them to vacate the government bungalows allotted to them by Raghubar Das government, two BJP MLAs : Viranchi Narain and Navin Jaiswal, on July 6, 2020, filed as Writ in Jharkhand High Court challenging the order on the ground that it is not applicable during Corona pandemic hence  against law. Viranchi Narain is MLA from Bokaro while Navin Jaiswal represents Hatiya assembly constituency.

As per Viranchi Narain, the petition might come up for hearing on July 8, 2020, as the 72 hours time notice period ends on July 7. As per the notice sent by SDO, Viranchi is staying at his quarter number F–131 at Doranda but now he has been allotted a new quarter E–275 at Dhurwa.
The Bokaro MLA says this is too small a quarter and as as the second term MLA he deserves a bigger one. Viranchi was, however, still ready to enter the new quarter but when he found it unlivable in present condition with its bathrooms being choked besides several other technical flaws, he requested the Building Construction Department officials to make it worth living but the work is still pending. “I made personal request  to the administration to first remove the technical flaws in the new quarter after which I was ready to shift there but still notice was served on me stating that if I do not vacate my present house within 72 hours I would be forcibly evicted,” the Bokaro MLA said.
“Am I a criminal  that such words have been used against an elected representative. I will bring privilege motion against the SDO and Ranchi administration against this,” Viranchi thundered. Navin Jaiswal also supported Viranchi on this issue saying that they were confident that the court will give justice to them.
