Patna : Bihar CM and JD(U) National President Nitish Kumar on July 4, 2020, sent his swab sample for COVID-19 test after he shared the dais with Bihar legislative council Acting Chairman Awdesh Narayan Singh, who has been found infected with the contagious virus, at an official event here recently. The sample was sent to Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS), Patna, said the officials.
Besides CM Nitish Kumar, samples of 15 staffers of the Chief Minister’s Office have also been collected for COVID-19 test, sources said, adding results are expected by July 5, 2020. CM Kumar had shared the dais with the Council Acting Chairman during the oath ceremony of newly elected members of Bihar legislative Council on July 1, 2020.
Meanwhile, 349 more persons tested positive to Coronavirus in Bihar on July 4, 2020, taking the tally to 11,460 in the state. The Coronavirus death toll in Bihar is 88 including 12 in Patna.
