Patna : The number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases crossed ten thousand mark in Bihar reaching 10,076 on July 1, 2020, with 88 more persons including 12 from Patna District, 11 from Madhubani, 8 from Katihar, four from Darbhanga, five from Kaimur, four from Jamui, testing positive. The COVID-19 death toll in the state stands at 68 including seven in Patna and five each in Darbhanga and Saran.
In Patna District, three cases were reported from Bakhtiarpur, three from Patna, two each from Barh, and Fatuha, and one from Pandarak. In Nawada District, two cases were reported from Warisaliganj.
In Munger District, one case was reported from Jamalpur. In Bhojpur District, one case was reported from Sahar. In Gaya District, three cases were reported from Bathani. In Kaimur District, five cases were reported from Bhabhua. In Supaul District, one case was reported from Raghopur.
In Darbhanga District in North Bihar, four cases were reported from Donar. In neighbouring Madhubani District, three cases were reported from Jhanjharpur, three from Rahika, two from Lakhnaur, two from Benipatti, and one from Jaynagar. In Madhepura District, one case each was reported from Chausa, Sripur, and Karpoori Chowk. In neighbouring Saharsa District, two cases were reported from Kahra and one from Saur Bazaar.
In Katihar District in eastern Bihar, two cases were reported from Markand Colony, and one each Shivpuri, Naya Tola Daheria, Bagbari, Sadar Hospital, Katihar, and Shankarpur. In Kishanganj District, one case each was reported from Soudagarpatti and Kishanganj. In Sheikhpura District, two cases were reported from Khandpar.
In West Champaran District in North Bihar, six cases were reported from Bairiya and three from Bhitha. In East Champaran, one case each was reported from Motihari and Ramgarhwa. In Jamui District, one case each was reported from Jamui, Islam Nagar Aliganj, Bodhwan Talab, and Khaira.
In Sitamarhi District, two cases were reported from Najpatti while in neighbouring Sheohar one case was reported Sheohar town.In Bhagalpur District, two cases were reported from Jagdishpur and one from Kharik. In neighbouring Banka District, one case each was reported from Amarpur and Karhariya.
