Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases surged to 8,611 in Bihar on June 26, 2020, with 123 more persons including 13 from Patna District, 11 from Araria District, 8 from Begusarai, 12 from Bhagalpur, seven from Saran testing positive to it. The new patients are in 0-70 year age group and authorities concerned are looking into their infection trail.

In Patna, 10 cases were reported from Patna City and three from Patna town. In Saran District in North Bihar, five cases were reported from Sonepur and two from Marhayrah. In Sheikhpura District, three cases were reported from Sheikhpur Sarai. In Siwan District, one case was reported from daraundha.

IN Araria District, three cases were reported from Palasi, two each from Narpatganj and Sikti, one each from Araria and Jokihat, Forbesganj, and Raniganj. In Begusarai District, 7 cases were reported from Balia and one from Bakhri. In Aurangabad District, one case each was reported from Deo, Rafiganj, and Daudnagar.

In Bhagalpur District, three cases were reported from Sanjhaulia, four from Pirpainti, four from Jagdishpur, and from Gopalpur. In Gaya District, two cases were reported from Amas. In Gopalganj District in North Bihar, 12 cases were reported from Thawe and one from Kuchaikot..
