Saharsa : Saharsa police on June 23, 2020, noon, seized more than 250 cartons of foreign liquor worth over Rs 20 lakh laden on a mini truck with India Post sticker pasted on it during a raid conducted near a brick kiln located south Saharsa Bsti Pond. Police brought the seized liquor and mini truck over to Sadar police station in Saharsa District in North Bihar. The liquor was manufactured in Haryana. The liquor was hidden beneath thermocol on the mini truck.
The raid was conducted by a Sadar police station team led by SHO, Rakesh Kumar Singh, and comprising Additional SHO ( Law & Order) Dravesh Kumar, and constable Nakul Paswan and MIthilesh Singh, on a tip off. SDPO Prabhakar Tiwary visited Sadar police station to examine the seized liquor. SHO Singh said that the police had identified the liquor smugglers and raids were on to arrest them. Police have also initiated steps to identify the owner of the mini truck and take stern action against him.
