Patna : Bike borne criminals numbering around ten looted Rs 52.33 lakh cash from Anisabad branch of Punjab National Bank (PNB) under Beur police station, Patna, in broad daylight on June 22, 2020, afternoon, after making the Manager and other employees of the hostage. When the security guard of the bank tried to resist them, criminals assaulted him and decamped with the cash.
SSP, Patna, Upendra Sharma, rushed to the bank with other officials and made preliminary inquiry inquiry into the cash loot. Ravindra
Pandit, Manager, PNB Branch, said that around 10 armed criminals entered the bank and made him and other employees hostage at gun point and forced them to hand over the keys of the chest and vault after locking them inside a room.
Police said that the criminals also damaged the CCTV cameras and DVR installed inside the bank and carried them away. Raids are being
conducted to nab the criminals.
