New Delhi : Coronavirus (COVID-19) death toll soared to 11,903 in India at 8 am on June 17, 2020, as Maharashtra on June 16, 2020, registered 1,328 more deaths which were not reported previously. With this, Coronavirus death toll in Maharashtra now stands at 5,537. Delhi, on the other hand, recorded 437 new deaths during last 24 hours while Tamilnadu reported 49 new deaths. Haryana and UP reported 18 new deaths each.

But, the massive rise in Coronavirus patients getting cured continues reaching 1,86,934 in the country on June 17, an increase of 6,922 during last 24 hours. In Maharashtra alone, 57,851 patients have been cured followed by 26,782 in Tamilnadu, 17,082 in Gujarat, 16,500 in Delhi, 9,849 in Rajasthan, 8,610 in UP,  8,152 in MP, 6,028 in West Bengal, 4,644 in Bihar, 4,456 in Karnataka, 3,748 in Haryana, and 1,121 in Jharkhand.

Coronavirus death toll break-up is : Maharashtra (5,537), Delhi (1,837), Gujarat (1,533), Tamilnadu (528), West Bengal (495), Madhya Pradesh (476), UP (417), Rajasthan (308), Telengana (191), Haryana (118), Karnataka (94), Andhra Pradesh (88), Punjab (72), J&K (63), Bihar (41), Uttarakhand (25), Kerala (20), Odisha (11), Chhattisgarh (9), Jharkhand (9), Assam (8), Himmachal Pradesh (8), Chandigarh (6), Puducherry (6), Ladakh (1),  Meghalaya (1), and Tripura (1).
