Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases surged to 6,581 in Bihar on June 15, 2020, morning, with 106 more persons including 16 from Muzaffarpur, 11 from East Champaran, seven from West Champaran, seven from Darbhanga, 11 from Madhubani, five from Aurangabad, five from Gaya, testing positive to it. The new patients are in 1-80 year age group and the local authorities are looking into their infection trail. Coronavirus death toll stands at 39 in Bihar.
In Muzaffarpur District in North Bihar, 16 cases were reported from Muraul Block. In Madhubani District in North Bihar, six cases were reported from Rajnagar, two from Pandaul, and one each from Laukahi, Jainagar, and Basopatti. In neighbouring Darbhanga District, seven cases were reported from Kusheshwarsthan.
In East Champaran District, 11 cases were reported from Motihari, the district headquarters. In Kishanganj District, three cases were reported from Kochadhaman. In West Champaran District, two cases each were reported from Majhaulia and Bariya, and one each from Sikta, Ramnagar, Chanpatia.
In Supaul District in North Bihar, three cases were reported from Raghopur and two from Marauna. In Purnia District in eastern Bihar, four cases were reported from Purnia East, two from Dagarua, and one each from Dhamdaha and Baisa. In Saharsa District, three cases were reported from Kahra and one each from Sattar Katiya and Mahishi.
In Nalanda District, two cases were reported from Giriak. In Arwal District, three cases were reported from Karpi. In Aurangabad District, four cases were reported from Policeline, and one from Barun.
In Gaya District, four cases were reported from Amas and one from Tekari. In Jehanabad, two cases were reported from Kako and one from Ratni Faridpur. In Khagaria, two cases were reported from Alauli. In Madhepura District, three cases were reported from Shankarpur.
