Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases jumped to 5,455 in Bihar on June 9, 2020, night, with 91 more persons including 16 from Katihar, 12 from Banka, 11 from Gopalganj, 10 from Nawada, seven from Begusarai, four from Supaul, four from Rohtas, testing positive to it. The new patients are in 6-48 year age group and local authorities are looking into their infection trail. In Patna, one case each was reported from Patna, Maner, Jakkanpur, Danapur,  and Sipara. In all, 208 persons tested positive to COVID-19 on June 9 in Bihar.

COVID-19 death toll climbed to 33 in Bihar on June 9 with one death each being reported from Aurangabad and Saran . A total of 2,770 patients have been cured in the state.

In Katihar District in eastern Bihar, 13 cases were reported from Amdabaad and three from Manihari. In Banka, 10 cases were reported from Katoriya and one each from Banka and Belhar.  In Madhubani District,one case was reported from Rahika. In Supaul District, one case each was reported from Pratapganj and Kishanpur and two from Chhatapur.

In Gopalganj District in North Bihar,11 cases were reported from Bhore. In Nawada District, 10 cases were reported from Narhat. In Rohtas, three cases were reported from Sasaram and one from Chenari. In Munger District, four cases were reported from Tetiya Bambar. In Begusarai, four cases were reported from Cheriyabariyarpur and one each from Bhagwanpur, Sahaebpur Kamal, and Begusarai Town..
