New Delhi : The number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients getting cured surged to 1,24,094 in India at 8 am on June 8, 2020, an increase of 4,802 during last 24 hours. In Maharashtra alone, 39,314 patients have been cured followed by 16,999 in Tamilnadu, 13,635 in Gujarat, 10,664 in Delhi, 7,641 in Rajasthan, 6,331 in MP, 6,185 in UP, 3,301 in West Bengal, 2,480 in Bihar, 2,132 in Karnataka, and 490 in Jharkhand. The recovery rate exceeds 48 %. The number of active cases in the country stands at 1,25,381.
Coronavirus death toll has jumped to 7,135 in India with 206 new deaths being reported from different parts of the country during last 24 hours, a big leap though less than what it was on June 7 and June 6, 2020. Maharashtra accounts for 3,060 Coronavirus deaths followed by 1,249 in Gujarat, 761 in Delhi, and 412 in Madhya Pradesh.
