Buxar : Modesty of a teenage girl was outraged at a village under Bagen police station in Buxar district on June 5, 2020. A named FIR was lodged by Bagen police station in this connection on the on the statement of the survivor against two persons on June 6, 2020.
SHO, Bagen police station, transferred the case to Women’sPolice Station, Buxar. Police arrested one of the accused Tuntun Yadav and sent him to jail after interrogation on June 7, 2020. Police also brought the girl over to Buxar Sadar Hospital for medical examination and will produce her before a Buxar Court on June 8, 2020, to get her statement recorded under section 164 CrPC.
SHO, Womens Police Station, Sushila said that a teenage girl had gone to the field at the village under Bagen police station to attend call of nature around 9 pm when two youth of the village : Golu Singh and Tuntun Yadav, caught her and took her to the campus of a government school located nearby where they raped her. They also threatened her with dire consequences if she dared reveal the matter before anyone and escaped from the spot. The survivor reached her home and narrated her ordeal before her parents.
SHO Sushila said that the family members initially hesitated to inform police due to social stigma but later a named FIR was lodged with Bagen police station on the statement of the girl but the SHO Bagen police station transferred the case to the Women’s police station.
