New Delhi : The number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients getting cured rose to 1,19,292 in India at 8 am on June 7, 2020, a jump of 5,220 during last 24 hours. In Maharashtra alone 37,390 patients have been cured so far  while in Tamilnadu 16,395 patients have been cured and in Gujarat 13,316. Coronavirus death toll has increased to 6,929 in India with 287 new deaths being reported from different parts of the country during last 24 hours including 120 new deaths in Maharashtra,  a big leap indeed.

During the last 24 hours, a total of 5,220 COVID-19 patients have been cured. The recovery rate is 48.37% amongst COVID-19 patients. At present, there are 1,20,406 active cases in the country and all are under active medical supervision.

ICMR has further ramped up the testing capacity for detecting the novel Coronavirus in infected persons. The number of government labs has been increased to 531 and private labs has been increased to 228. A total of 1,42,069 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The total number of samples tested thus far is 46,66,386, according to a PIB release.
