Raxaul :  On Day 1 of Unlock 1.0 on June 1, 2020, all the government offices in East Champaran District in North Bihar including
collectorate at Motihari opened and all the employees attended their offices and resumed their work maintaining social distance.

Although East Champaran DM had already  given permission for plying of  the buses yet only two bus left  for Patna  from Raxaul with  10 passengers each. Muzaffarpur- Anand Bihar bound Saptkranti express train passed through Motihari, the district headquarters,  with  full  capacity of passengers. All the shops in markets and on footpaths in rural and urban areas were opened.                                              Raxaul-Delhi  bound Satyagrah express  train  restarted its  usual running  on June 1, 2020, from Raxaul after  69 days  and left the  Raxaul  station on scheduled time. Anil  Kumar Singh, Station Superintendent, Raxaul Railway Station , said 132 passengers  including  some Nepalese  passengers boarded this train maintaining social distance after  being screened and  their luggage sanitised. These passengers possessed either e-ticket or counter ticket.  On the other hand, all the shops were not opened in Raxaul town on first day of Unlock 1  on June 1, 2020, and the shopkeepers are awaiting directives from the local  administration.
