Buxar : Police, on a tip off,  on June 1, 2020, arrested one Lal Bahadur Chaudhary of village Baura in Buxar district, in connection with murder of Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) leader Millu Chaudhary. Police sent him to jail after interrogation. Lal Bahadur Chaudhary had been absconding in connection with this murder case.

SHO, Bagen police station, Manoj Kumar Singh said that on June 1, 2020, he got information that Lal Bahadur Chaudhary, one of the named accused in the murder of BSP leader Millu Chaudhary, had come to his native village at Barua under Bagen police station. He immediately swung into action and with a heavy police force laid a trap at Baruha village to nab Lal Bahadur Chaudhary. Seeing police, he tried to escape but  police chased and arrested him.

It may be mentioned here that some armed miscreants had shot dead Millu Chaudhary, former District Board member and BSP leader of Baruha village under Bagen police station, and also injured his brother Bir Bahadur Chaudhary and his driver Sanjay Kumar near Mathila village under Koransarai police station in Buxar district on April 29, 2016, when he was going to Buxar on his four -wheeler to attend a marriage ceremony.

A named FIR was lodged with police against four persons in this regard including Lal Bahadur Chaudhary and Harendra Chaudhary on the statement of Bir Bahadur Chaudhary and police had arrested Harendra Chaudhary immediately but Lal Bahadur Chaudhary could not be arrested at that time and had been absconding since then.
