Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed cases crossed three thousand mark in Bihar with 38 more persons including 14 from Araria District and 9 from Madhepura District testing positive to the disease at 1 pm on May 27, 2020, taking the total to 3,006 in the state. The new patients are in 18-65 year age group and authorities concerned are looking into their infection trail.

In Araria District, four cases have been reported from Narpatganj, four from Araria, two from Sikti, two from Raniganj, one each from Jokihat and Forbesganj. Four cases were reported from Saran District including two from Parsa and one each from Marhoura and Sonepur. In Begusarai District, two cases were reported from Bhagwanpur while one case was reported from Hajipur in Vaishali District.

In Darbhanga District, three cases were reported from Darbhanga urban area and one from Allalpatti. In Madhepura District, four cases were reported from Alamnagar, three from Shankarpur, and one each from Chausa and Madhepura Town. In Saharsa District, two cases were reported from Sattar Katiya and one from Sonbarsa. One positive case was reported from Pothia in Kishanganj District.
