Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed cased jumped to 2,968 in Bihar at 9.40 pm on May 26, 2020, with 98 more persons including 34 from Rohtas, 31 from Madhubani in North Bihar, ten from East Champaran, and  six from Patna district testing positive to the disease.  The new patients are in 1-65 year age group and the local authorities are looking into their infection trail. In all, 231 persons tested positive to Coronavirus in Bihar on May 26, 2020.

In Rohtas District, 17 cases were reported from Kochas, 12 from Dinara, four from Sasaram, and one each from Narsiganj and Kargahar. In Madhubani District, 11 cases were reported from Basopatti, seven from Jhanjahrpur, three from Benipatti, three from Madhepur, two from Rahika, three from Madhya Kamlabari, and one each from Jaynagar and Madhubani Town.  Four were reported from Jehanabad District including two from Hulasganj. Four cases were also reported from Siwan District including two from Barharia.

In East Champaran District, three cases each were reported from Kalyanpur and Ramgarha, two from Paharpur, and one each from Patahi and Motihari town. One case each was reported from Arwal and Gaya districts.

In Patna, four cases were reported from BMP, two from Patna City, and one from Gaurichak takingthe total to 218 in the district. Three cases were reported from Nalanda including two from Biharsharif. One case was reported from Purnahiya in Sheohar District and one from Barauni in Begusarai District.
