Ara : Some unidentified miscreants shot dead cousin brother of an Up-mukhia at Purana Haripur village under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur District on May 25, 2020, night.
Police recovered the body from the outskirts of the village on the information of villagers and brought it over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained. An FIR has been lodged with Koelwar police station in this connection and police are investigating into the incident. The deceased was identified as Brij Kishore Mahto, 45, son of Satyanarayan Mahto of Purana Haripur village under Koelwar police station.
