Sitamarhi : Bicycle wholesale dealer Prabhat Hisariya, 65, was shot dead by three scooter borne unidentified armed criminals in broad daylight near his shop in Lohapatti locality in Sitamarhi district in North Bihar on May 20, 2020. He was rushed to a private nursing home where the doctors declared him brought dead. The criminals sped away towards Riga after firing on Prabhat Hisariya. The place of occurrence is located near Court Bazar under Town Police Station, Sitamarhi.
The incident took place when Prabhat Hisariya was going to open his shop during lockdown 4.0 relaxation. When police team headed by Sitamarhi SP Anil Kumar reached the nursing home, the locals, relatives, and acquaintances raised anti-police slogans. The SP assured the people that the criminals involved in the murder of Prabhat Hisariya would be arrested soon.
