Patna : A retired Sub-Inspector (SI) of Police Sunil Singh, 62, was shot dead at 8.30 am on May 19, 2020, by some miscreants due to personal enmity at Nuruddinpur under Khusropur police station in Patna District. The assailants had fired six rounds on Sunil Singh.
An FIR has been lodged against nine persons in this connection with Khusropur police station by Sunil Singh’s son though police are yet to arrest any accused.
SHO, Khusropur police station, said that all the accused belong to Nuruddinpur but all of them were absconding after the incident. He said that one person was killed at Nuruddinpur about six months back. There was also some land dispute, the SHO added. The deceased had retired from Jharkhand police.
