Patna : With 113 persons including 18 in Banka, 15 in Purnia, nine in Nawada, eight in Gopalganj, seven in Begusarai, and six in Madhubani districts testing positive to Coronavirus (COVID-19) on May 16, 2020, evening, the total jumped to 1,145 in Bihar. Seven patients have died due to the disease in Bihar till date.
In Purnia district, 13 confirmed cases were reported from Rupauli area. In Nawada, four confirmed cases were reported from Policeline, three from Muffasil, and two from Akbarpur. In Madhubani, five COVID-19 confirmed cases were reported from Rahika and one from Lakhnaur. Two confirmed cases were reported from Marwan in Muzaffarpur district in North Bihar.
One confirmed case each was reported from BMP-14, Khajpura, Patna, Jehanabad, Dumari Kalsari, Sheohar, and Sadar, East Champaran. Three confirmed cases were reported from Vishali District too in North Bihar including two from Mahua. In Begusarai, six COVId-19 confirmed cases were reported from Garhpura and one from Barauni. In Katihar, one case each was reported from Ahmadabad and Beria Nagi Tola.
In Khagaria, two cases were reported from Gogri while in Munger, two cases were reported from Tarapur. In Gopalganj, four cases were reported from Panchdeori, one from Sadar, two from Thawe, and one from Khanpur. Bhagalpur District reported four cases including two from Sanhoula and one each from Bhagalpur and Kahalgaon.
