Patna : Altogether 416 migrants have tested positive to Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Bihar till 10 am on May 15, 2020. They include 33 in Patna, 32 in Khagaria, 26 in Nalanda, 24 in Rohtas, 18 in Nawada, 19 in West Champaran, 18 in Munger, 17 in Bhagalpur, 16 in Jehanabad, 15 in Madhubani, 15 in Muzaffarpur, 11 in Arwal, 11 in Purnia, 11 in Saharsa, 10 in Bhojpur, 9 in Aurangabad, 8 in Samastipur, and 7 in Madhepura district. In fact, 358 of them tested positive between May 4, 2020, and May 15, 2020, till 10 am.
Of the 416 migrants testing positive to Coronavirus, 129 had travel history of New Delhi while 98 had travelled to Gujarat and 92 to Maharashtra. Twenty-two had visited West Bengal and 20 UP.
Health Department, Bihar Government, has been very attentive to arrival of migrants and analysing data related to them on a continuous basis, according to Principal Secretary, Health Department, Sanjay Kumar.
Meanwhile, 6 more persons including 5 in Khagaria District in North Bihar tested positive to Coronavirus on May 15, 2020, taking the total 1,005 in Bihar. Of the five cases in Khagaria, four were reported from Alauli and one from Khagaria Sadar taking the total to 36 in the district. One positive case has been reported from Siwan District.
