Saharsa : Police arrested fours Scorpio borne criminals with firearms and seized the vehicle near Kahra Mor under Patarghat Police Outpost (OP) in Saharsa District in North Bihar on May 14, 2020. A police team headed by SHO, OP, Patarghat, Ajit Kumar, arrested them during a vehicle checking drive.
The four arrested criminals were identified as : Parvez Alam, Mohd Siwan, Mohd Asif Rizwan, and Jamir Raj, all natives of neighbouring Madhepura District. Police seized a loaded countrymade pistol, one loaded countrymade Katta, five mobile phones, and 16 ATM cards of different banks from their possession, said SP, Saharsa, Rakesh Kumar, while addressing a presser. The SP said that all the four criminals were earlier involved an ATM fraud case in 2019 and police were looking for them.
SP Kumar said that the four criminals were targeting the director of a Customer Service Point (CSP) centre located at Patarghat Bazar and were following him for the last two days by the Scorpio with the sticker of Madhepura District Vice-President, Yuva Shakti, allegedly pasted on it. The SP said that the CSP director used to draw cash from Dhabouli branch of SBI to run his CSP. Police on May 14, 2020, got information the car borne criminals were planning to loot the CSP director hence started a vehicle checking drive and arrested the four criminals.
