Patna : Bihar reported 6th death due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state on May 10, 2020, as a 60 year old man from village Belchi in Patna District died due to it at Patna Medical College & Hospital (PMCH) on the day.
The patient from Belchi was admitted to PMCH on May 8, 2020. According to Principal Secretary, Health, Bihar Government, Sanjay Kumar, the man was a case of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (end stage lung disease). The patient died due to cardio respiratory arrest, Kumar said and added that he had returned from Delhi and was quarantined.
Meanwhile, the number of Coronavirus confirmed cases jumped to 663 in Bihar with eight persons from Kishanganj, seven each from Patna, Saharsa and Madhepura, four from East Champaran, three from Muzaffarpur, three each from Patna and Arwal Districts, two each from Darbhanga, Araria, and Gaya Districts testing positive to Coronavirus (COVID-19) on May 10, 2020. The local authorities are looking into their infection trail.
In East Champaran District, three confirmed cases of Coronavirus in 13-14 year age group were reported from Ghodasahan and one from Dhaka area (a 60 year old man) while in Muzaffarpur District, two confirmed cases were reported from Bandra while one case was reported from Bochaha.
Of the seven confirmed cases from Patna, fiveĀ were reported from Barh and two from Pandarak. Two confirmed cases – one each from Sirdala and Rajouli- were reported from Nawada District. One case each was reported from Bhojpur and Aurangabad districts.
Of the 8 COVID-19 confirmed from Kishanganj District, three cases were reported from Thakurganj, two from Kochadhaman, and one each from Sanghia, Kishanganj Town, and Bahadurganj. The 8 male patients are in 18-47 year age group.
