Patna : The number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed cases jumped to 556 in Bihar on May 8, 2020, morning, with six persons from Samastipur District in North Bihar testing positive to the disease. The six new patients are in 35-57 year age group.
Four of the six patients belong to Rosera while two persons belong to Hasanpur in Samastipur. All of them had returned from outside the state and are under quarantine since their return to Bihar, according to Principal Secretary, Health Department, Bihar Government, Sanjay Kumar. He said that the government was ascertaining their infection trail, he added. The COVID-19 death toll increased to 5 in Bihar on May 7, 2020.
