Bhabhua : Kaimur police, during search operation in hill and forest areas of naxal infested Aghaura village, recovered two Cane Bombs weighing 15kg and 16kg on May 5, 2020.

Kaimur SP Dil Nawaz Ahmad said that he got information that naxal activities were going on in the hill and forest areas of naxal infested Aghaura village. He immediately requisitioned police force and CRPF and directed them to launch search operation in the areas. Police recovered two Cane Bombs of 15kg and 16 kg kept in a gunny bag in the cave of a hill under a heavy stone near river Durgawati river. The bombs were defused, he added.

The SP said that G47Bn CRPF led by the Commander Ravi Ranjan Kumar had launched search operation in the jungle of Dugdha under Aghaura police station in Kaimur district and Barkata on the border of Rohtas district on May 2, 2020, after information that some naxals had infiltrated into the jungles of Kaimur and Rohtas from Chhatisgarh under police pressure but no arrest was made at that time.
