Ara : Police on May 5, 2020, arrested two miscreants from village Pawat under Dhobaha Police Outpost (OP) in Bhojpur district when they were on a mission to kill a suspected police informer. Police also recovered a loaded rifle, a loaded countrymade pistol, three motorcycles, and two mobile phones from their possession. Two of their associates, however, managed to escape from the place.

The arrested miscreants were identified as Vishal Singh of village Pawat and Raja Babu Yadav alias Lala of Belvania village under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district.

Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar said that a liquor smuggler Mahashankar Paswan was arrested with 120 litre of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from village Pawat on May 3, 2020, but Vishal Singh had escaped from the spot at that day. Vishal Singh had allegedly threatened a person with dire consequence accusing him of being a police informer.

A ‘Sanaha’ (Informatory) was lodged with Dhobaha Police Outpost in connection with seizure of liquor. Meanwhile, Vishal Singh along with his three associates set out to kill the police informer. When  SHO, Dhobaha Police Outpost, Laxmi Patel got information about it, she along with police force conducted raids at village Pawat and arrested Vishal Singh and Raja Babu Yadav alias Lala though two of their associates escaped from the scene. Plice are conducting raids to arrest them.  The SP said that two separate FIRs have been lodged with  Dhobaha police out under Arms Act and also under Prohibition & Excise Act.
