New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 3, 2020, paid tributes to valiant soldiers and security personnel martyred in Handwara in Jammu & Kashmir.

It may be mentioned here that a Colonel, and a Major were among five security personnel killed in an encounter with terrorists lasting about 8 hours in Handwara in Kupwara District in J&K. Two terrorsist were also killed on May 3, 2020. The operation startedon May 2, 2020.
