Ara : Union Health & Family Welfare Ministry has declared Bhojpur and Kamur districts as Orange Zone while  Buxar and Rohtas districts fall in Red Zone. Buxar and Rohtas Districts have reported over one hundred Coronavirus positive cases so far. Six persons including four women tested Coronavirus positive on May 2, 2020.

After detection of new cases, Bhojpur district administration sealed Ara-Patna, Ara-Buxar, Ara-Maliyabadh main roads and deputed magistrates with heavy police force directing them to launch intensive vehicle checking drive. Even security has been tightened further at  Ara. As a result the entire Ara town gives a deserted look.

A contractor of Rural Works Department and father of Coronavirus infected youth of Nala Road locality under Ara Town police station was found positive. The contractor had gone to Patna and had met with the Chief Engineer 1 and 3 and Superintending Engineer, Dharbhanga, of the department. All of them have been quarantined. The contractor was also quarantined at Ara after his son was found infected. In addition to it, a one and half a year old child of Coronavirus positive man of Raja Bazaar in Bihia has also tested Coronavirus positive.

Bhojpur DM has appealed to the people not to come out of their houses until it was necessary and use masks and sanitisers and warned that stern action would be taken against persons found loitering on road without reason. Though Bhojpur district administration has tried to enforce lockdown completely in different areas of the district, recalcitrant residents in different of areas are bent on to violate it.
